Hello lovelies <3
If you saw my blogpost from a few months ago I mentioned I was on the UAL Art Foundation Diploma for the year after finishing my A-Levels and before I go to university. The images above show my final collection I created based on both books "The Secret Garden" and "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower" where I looked into the hidden messages of mental illness in both books, as well as the clothing in mental asylums in both time eras of these books. I could talk about this project forever, this is literally the best project I have created so far. This will probably change once I'm at uni.
I looked at many artists and designers throughout this project but the most inspiring designer I looked at was Alexander McQueen and I was lucky enough to go to his exhibition at the V&A - Savage Beauty, while I was in the first part of my research even though I found research and inspiration was key though out this project.
All the garments and the wall hanging are green because in my colour theory research and questionnaire I found out that Green represents Healing and Earth, both topics that I thought linked well to both books.
The first garment was based on the modern hospital gown, very much in the style of a T-Shirt dress, but with an added sling used for restriction, just like belts were used in the older centuries.
The second garment was based more on feelings. The rips in the dress represents how much mental health has caused destruction in themselves or to their families. However from looking at The Secret Garden, I attached flowers as that represented the patients getting better and recovering.
My favourite garment I created was the third one as it really tested my skills to manipulate the pattern as I wanted to make the sleeves longer so they could be tied around the body, similar to the straitjackets. I also made the collar higher as I wanted to put as much restriction into the garment as possible, this was the trickiest bit due to it being so large.
I also made a wall hanging to go along with the garments, where I was able to manipulate the fabric and surface as much as I wanted to. In all the garments and more so on the wall hanging, I loved using dissolvable fabric, which linked back to my research of some patients feeling disconnected to the world.
Obviously if you read my sketchbook you would see a more detailed review into why I made each garment and the meanings behind the colours and techniques used.
I got my results back in June and I'm proud to say I could a Distinction for this project.
Next week I start a new chapter, as I move to London to study fashion textiles and surface design, I hope to focus more on knit wear and innovative fashion.
What do you think of my collection?
Love You All

Although Autumn doesn't start till 22nd September, Summer seems to have ended in the UK and has been this way for a few weeks. It's almost been cold enough to bring the knitwear out from storage and back into the wardrobe, so I thought it was perfect timing to write up my Autumn wish list. I'm loving the camel, khaki and rusty colours for Autumn, theres something about them thats very warming.
If you know me and have read any of my other blogposts you would know I mainly shop at New Look, so I thought it was only right for my first wish list of the season I start of with New Look. I included some pieces that are a different style to what I usually pick, but I feel they would go nicely with pieces I already have in my wardrobe.
Camel Sleeveless Blazer
£19.99
Stone Faux Fur Gilet
£24.99
Grey Fine Knit Cowl Neck Split Side Vest
£9.99
Pale Blue Ripped Knee Skinny Jeans
£24.99
Khaki Utility Shirt
£22.99
Navy Corduroy Button Front A-Line Skirt
£19.99
Black Suedette Chelsea Boots
£19.99
From this wish list I think the staple item(s) I feel will revamp my wardrobe will be an A-Line Skirt and/or a sleeveless blazer.
What are YOUR staple items for Autumn?
Love you all

Hello lovelies <3
If you're a long time reader of mine you would know I LOVE the Lee Stafford Hair Growth range, so when I saw 3 for 2 offer on the Argan Oil range I had to give it ago. I've tried the deep nourishing treatment in the past and I loved it back then, due to it restoring my hair condition as it was it in an awful condition.
Using the treatment this time round, I wondered why I stopped using it. It's made my hair so soft, shiny and more manageable, which I need as my hair has become so tangly lately, however when I used this I was able to glide the comb through my hair, instead of spending hours getting the knots out. I leave the treatment on for 30 minutes at least instead of the suggested 5 minutes, (thats if I have time to leave it on longer). This could also be due to me using the Pre-Shampoo treatment before I wash my hair, I tend to put this on dry hair about 30 minutes before I'm going to wash hair and it leaves it so soft and protects my hair while it's being washed.
I would definitely recommend both of these products if you have dry, frizzy or knotty hair. These would also be perfect for thick or coarse hair. When I'm next in boots I want to pick up some other products from the range, anyone got any recommendations I should try?
What products are your favourites from Lee Stafford?
Love you all

Now you all might remember the 6 months hair growth challenge I started last March, where I tested out products on the market that people have said it makes your hair grow faster. At the end of the challenge, my hair grew nearly 4 inches in the 6 months. As a year has now past from when I first started my challenge, I have decided to do a one year update. I have also had quite a few friends and family, even my hairdresser comment on how long my hair has gotten in the past year and have been asked "What products I use?" and "How has it grown so fast?", so I thought I would also answer these questions, in this post.
I didn't end up taking biotin 1000ug for these six months, but if you want me to do another 6 month challenge with me testing out biotin again, but on a higher strength then please let me know.
At the end of my last post, I stated I would be using Mane n Tail shampoo and conditioner, and the Lee Stafford hair treatment and leave - in spray, but did I get the same results from the 6 month challenge?
Results
Short answer: Not really!
My hair did grow another 2 inches (pink line) and my hair is wavy in the picture below - forgot to take a picture when I straightened my hair, but when it's straight my hair is at the yellow line, possibly longer still.
Mane n tail does help your hair grow but not as dramatically as the products I used in my other post, so I will continue using the lee Stafford hair growth range and biotin. In August/September I will post my final hair growth post, for another 6 months challenge results as they say your hair grows faster in the summer.

Spring has to be one of my favourite seasons, as it's the time of year everything is fresh and "reborn" shall I say. Seeing blossom and all the colours come back, has to favourite thing about Spring as well as the weather getting warmer. And of course it means, TIME TO GO SHOPPING! This autumn and winter, I seem to have gained a lot of monochrome and grey clothing, which has made my wardrobe looking a bit 'boring' and colourless, so I decided to save up money from my birthday and christmas and wait for Spring clothing, so I could finally add colour to my wardrobe. Everything in this post is from New Look.
Disclaimer: I brought everything featured in this post with my own money!

Hey lovelies <3
Hopefully you all remember me!! I know it's been a while since I last posted on my blog, I've just been very busy with college and reapplying to uni / going to interviews.
Here's an update
In September I started an Art Foundation course and decided to defer my place at Southampton Solent Univeristy for Fashion Journalism to start in September 2015. However, from joining the Art Foundation course, in November I decided to change my university course, from which I have decided to do Printed Textiles and Surface Design, and I hope to design prints for fashion pieces and interiors, then later on the future hopefully go on to Fashion journalism or designing fashion.
I'm currently doing my final major project, so if you would like to see any work from this project or any past projects, feel free to let me know.
As I'm on Spring break, I'm going to get slowly back into blogging as I've missed it so much and I have a lot of ideas to post, so keep a look out.
I will leave this post as it is and I will talk to you again in a few days!
